About Us

Foreign Lex was set up in 2011 by three experienced lawyers and academics, Dr Duncan Fairgrieve, Professor Mads Andenas and Professor David Chekroun. Bringing together a wealth of experience in international legal matters, the founders have successfully combined careers as university academics and legal practitioners practising law in a number of different jurisdictions, spanning both common law and civil law jurisdictions.

As distinguished comparative lawyers, the founders have often acted as experts in domestic and international litigation, and thereby appreciate the importance to the success of cases of experienced & credible experts on foreign law issues.
